If you could give advice to your 18 year old self what would it be? I love this question! Honestly, when I was 18 I felt like I had to have everything figured out and I didn’t have much direction or focus. I would tell myself to relax and enjoy things as they come. I would also tell myself to do my homework and stay on track in school because that first semester of college was wild!
Why are you so musty? Don’t start. Jonathan is just salty because he lost twice in connect 4 last week. Get out my inbox and run it back so I can give you another L!
How do you maintain a healthy lifestyle? Is it the gym? Yoga? If so, how often? Thanks so much! Aside from this Q&A I get this question often. I don’t go to the gym at all and I hardly work out on purpose, meaning that I don’t really go out of my way to exercise. I walk and move around a lot at work and that’s my main exercise on a weekly basis. I have really bad knees so it’s hard to do intense workouts but I actually am slowly getting back into yoga. I just follow videos on YouTube. As far as diet goes, I usually eat whatever. I hate saying that because I know a lot of people struggle with diet and exercise but it’s my truth. I don’t eat a lot of red meat and I don’t eat pork - not for any specific reason other than my mom doesn’t eat it, so growing up we mostly had turkey and chicken so that’s what I prefer now.
Is Kaydon really that amazing in person? Kaydon is my little brother, and I guess he’s pretty cool lol. If you’re 18 years old looking for a soon-to-be college student who’s respectful, tall, funny, and kindhearted then holla at ya boy.
Who are some people that make your day no matter what? My best friend Danielle and I talk every single day which always makes life better. My older brother Marcus is basically the guy version of me and I love talking to him too. I work with a lot of kids each week and there’s always something a student says or does that makes my day. I also have a group chat with my friends Eric and Mireya and they’re some of the dopest people I’ve ever met. When Jonathan isn’t salty over an L, he’s cool too lol. I have a lot of people around me who are just rays of sunshine when the world gets a little dark and I love them.
Are you in a relationship? The number of people that asked anything related to this question was ridiculous lol. I am a single pringle who is exploring how to mingle.

Are you really that tall or are you just cappin in photos? I am tall, but I’ve been told I’m on the shorter side of tall because now tall girls are starting at just around my height. I am 5’10”.
Why have your previous relationships ended? Just get right to it then lol. One ended because I had no desire to stay with someone who was controlling and, in better terms, a lame. One ended because they cheated. One ended because they simply didn’t want to be in a relationship anymore. One ended before it started because they moved to a different country.
Has teaching always been your passion? Do you have other passions that you wish to pursue? If so what are they? I wouldn’t say that it’s always been a passion but it’s always been in the back of my mind as a career option. I really enjoy blogging and if I could make this my full-time career that would be really cool. I don’t know if it counts as a passion but I’ve been interested in coming up with content for some type of podcast or YouTube channel.
What’s your favorite Bible verse? Ooooh, there’s so many. Lately, I’ve been reminding myself over and over again of Exodus 33:14, “The Lord replied, ‘My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest’”.
Favorite song? Again, there’s so many. But the first one that pops in my head every time someone asks me this is “Thinking About You” by Frank Ocean. That whole Channel Orange album hits but that’s my favorite.
Why do you get offended when people ask about kids? It’s not that I get offended, I’ve just never understood people’s obsession with other people’s life choices. And, most of the time, people ask this over the internet. Think about it, you’re probably not pressing your best friend or coworker or cousin to get married or have kids, so why would you comment on a “stranger’s” life? But I get it, I’m 25 and I guess according to societal timelines this is when people get married and stuff. I think kids are one of the best blessings God has, ya girl just ain’t ready for all that lol.
What have been your top 2 vacations you’ve been on? San Diego and Las Vegas.
How does your hair come out so curly? Genetics, water, faith, and 100 pounds of conditioner every week.
What was your major in college and do you wish you majored in something else? I majored in Family and Consumer Science with a concentration in Family Studies. I don’t wish I majored in something else but there were definitely other classes that I would’ve enjoyed taking.
Is your name Tyler or Tyler Lynn, like 2 first names? My name is Tyler lol. A few people asked this… my middle name is Lynn.
Do you speak any other languages? I don’t speak it fluently, but I understand a lot and speak a bit of Spanish and I took Italian and American Sign Language in college.
Out of all your siblings, who do you look most alike and who do you act most alike? I definitely look the most like Keith. We have pretty similar personalities too, but I think Marcus and I are probably the most alike.
Why did you disrespect Young Thug the other day? LOL!! I said that “London” was great until it got to Young Thug’s part. I mean… I said what I said lol.
I saw you at the club last week and you didn’t say hi. Well this isn’t a question, but I haven’t been to a club since I was in Las Vegas so it wasn’t me you saw, I’m sorry lol.
Have you ever dated someone you met from online? Yes, I have but it wasn’t like we were total strangers. We have a lot of mutual friends in person.
Are you going to do anymore traveling in 2019? Absolutely! I’m currently thinking where I’m going to go during summer and I’m thinking of a different country to travel to for the holidays.
What did you want to be when you were little? I for sure was trying to be a backup dancer for Britney Spears. I also wanted to be a teacher, a dolphin trainer at SeaWorld, and at one point wanted to be a pediatric nurse. Young Tyler had big dreams, okay.
How old were you when you graduated? From high school? 18. From community college? 22. From a university? 24.
Any advice for having a bad day? “Every day may not be a good day, but there’s something good in every day.” “Even the worst days only have 24 hours.” “Tomorrow could be the best day of your life, you just have to get through today.”
My boyfriend cheated and said sorry but did it again. Should I forgive him again? The real question is why are you still with him? Man or woman, why put up with a cheater when there’s so many faithful people who are ready to love like you deserve.

How have you been on 4 different vacations and we’re only halfway through the year sis?! Who’s flying you out??!! Lol I definitely pay my own way. But I just book my flight, plan it out, and go. I have a flexible job right now and thankfully I make good money that allows me to have a little fun every now and then. Pro tip though - travel with other people, do your research, and always be on the lookout for deals when preparing for vacation to maximize savings.
You look mixed with that curly hair and that’s tight. Thank you, I think. However, black people can have curly hair and not be “mixed”. Both of my parents are black but there is a sprinkle of white here and there.
Favorite primer? I think primer is lowkey a scam but if I had to pick, then for high end it would be Too Faced Hangover RX and drugstore would be Wet n Wild Photo Focus dewy.

Skincare routine sis!!! We need it!! Up and Up Target brand facial cleanser (the one that’s comparable to the Clean and Clear Morning Burst), St. Ives apricot scrub (go argue with someone else, yes I’m aware of the controversy but I’ve never had an issue), and Neutrogena sensitive skin oil free moisturizer.
Have you ever tried the Diva Cup and if so can you review it for Tyler Tuesday? I trust your opinions! Well thank you! (: But, I’ve never used any of the cups or discs but there’s a lot of reviews on YouTube that are good.
Favorite childhood memories? Christmases for sure, dusting my classmates with the timed test for multiplication (y’all know what I’m talking about!!!), and 6th grade trip to Sly Park lol.
Do you still talk to people you went to high school with? A few, high school was kinda wack.
